THE STORY OF XAVIER
PART 2: JOURNEY
CHAPTER 6: QUEST
Without hesitation, Jay shattered the apartment window with just a flick of his finger. The three quickly jumped out of the building and ran straight for Xavier's rusty, old car that looks like it could fall apart any minute. Xavier took the wheel and they immediately drove off to Eddie's house, with Shadow flying right behind.
"YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THIS TIME YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Shadow cried as he hurled multiple purple flaming balls of death at Xavier's pathetic vehicle.
"GO FASTER DAMMIT!" Jay shouted.
"But the speed limit says fortyyyyy. I don't wanna get a speeding ticket dumbass." Xavier complained.
"FOR FUCKS SAKE DUDE WE'VE GOT BIGGER PROBLEMS RIGHT NOW! I CAN ONLY PROTECT US FOR SO LONG! NOW FLOOR IT!" Jay exclaimed as he attempted to reflect the incoming shots.
Xavier obeyed the command and accelerated. Eddie's house was only a few blocks away. But the speed at which they were traveling at was way beyond the car's capabilities, to the point where all control was lost. The vehicle began spinning wildly as if it were Meatspin.
"AHAHAHAHA! YOU'RE TIME HAS COME WEAKLINGS!" Shadow beckoned as he hovered above them. He began charging his next attack for the final blow. Ryta and Xavier both shrieked in terror. Oddly enough, Xavier sounded much more girly than his wife.
Just when all seemed lost, Jay gathered his mystical energy and regained control of the car. Unfortunately, all that spinning popped all the tires, and so they were forced to get out. But it was too late. Shadow was just about to finish charging his deadly strike with a radius too massive to outrun.
Jay instantly turned to Xavier to brief him in.
"Now listen closely we don't have much time. You and Ryta must go find Eddie and get to the East end of Treck City. Once there, enter the library and speak with my friend Kay, the librarian. He will fill you in on your task and may aid you on your quest."
"But--" Xavier began.
"NO TIME FOR BUTTS! BUTTS ARE ASSES AND ASSES NEED TO BE KICKED! Please Xavier, only you can save the world from Shadow, and the chaos that he will create. Find your true self. Discover your inner strengths. Only then can you prevent Earth from being consumed by darkness. Now go! I'll hold him off!"
And in his final effort to protect the two, Jay conjured up every last bit of sorcery he possessed, and encompassed Shadow and himself inside a blinding ring of light. Shadow let out an eerie howl and fired a huge, fully charged blast of pulsing dark energy directly at Jay. Jay gave a battle cry, and just as the blast was about to hit, they were gone. Vanished into thin air. Everything was still.
Xavier turned to Ryta.
"What the hell?" Ryta asked.
Xavier put his hand on her shoulder.
"Shit just got real."
